CLASSROOM ENTRIES
Age groups:Foster teamwork and camaraderie by engaging your entire classroom to collaborate on a submission, with the added incentive of winning an agricultural field trip or event. Theme:
Demonstrate how agriculture benefits our lives and/or the environment.
Encourage appreciation for the reciprocal relationship between agriculture and the environment, promoting the adoption of sustainable practices that benefit both.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND FORMAT
Individual and public school classroom entries
JUDGING CRITERIA:
- Content/Relevance/Student Perspective: Does the video clearly describe the student’s/class’s vision and presents their own perspective and position as it is important to the issue? (40%)
- Creativity & Organization: Is the video original and presented in an organized way? (40%)
- Production: What is the overall production quality (including visual and sound elements)? (15%)
- Time Limit: Does the video fall within the given time parameters? (5%)
- Video: 2-5 minutes in length
- File format: MP4
- Share the video file from your Google Drive with AgContest@chinooksd.ca.
- Include the following details in the file name:
- “Individual” or “Classroom” entry
- Individual student entries - include category number (1, 2 or 3), school, grade, full name of student.
- Example of a file name: “Individual-2-Cabri-Gr5-JaneSmith.mp4”
- Classroom entries - school, age group.
- Example of a file name: “Classroom-Ponteix-Gr3.mp4”
- Split grade class “...-Gr5/6/7.mp4”

JUDGING - ALL ENTRIES
A selection committee made up of Chinook trustees, staff, sponsor representatives and community members will judge each category and award the prizes to the best entry! Winners will be announced at the Chinook Board of Education Meeting on May 13, 2024. All winners will be notified directly and listed on the Chinook website and social media.
