Rachelle Patzer moved to Swift Current as a Grade 10 student and is a graduate of the Swift Current Comprehensive High School. After graduation, Rachelle spent a year overseas with Youth With A Mission before going on to study Vocal Performance at the University of Saskatchewan. Rachelle worked as a private vocal instructor in Swift Current, Waldeck and Herbert for 11 years, and she spent numerous years performing throughout the Prairie Provinces with the local band, All 4 One. Rachelle and her husband, Darcy, reside northeast of Waldeck where they operate a 4th generation mixed farm. They have three children who all completed K-9 at Waldeck School. Their youngest two children are currently attending SCCHS in grades 10 and 12. Their oldest child is working on completing his Bachelor of Education at the University of Saskatchewan, where he also plays volleyball for the U of S Huskies.

Rachelle has been an active participant within her community and Waldeck School. She was a member of the Waldeck School Community Council for 9 years, sitting as Chair for the past 3. She loves to volunteer her time and has spent countless hours running canteens, encouraging students and staff, and planning and organizing events. Rachelle has been the director of a Kids Choir and Drama group in her local church for the last 13 years. She currently volunteers weekly as a mentor to youth in Swift Current and also sits on the board for West Bank Bible Camp. Rachelle is an avid sports Mom and loves to sit courtside, cheering on her kids and their teammates.

Rachelle is passionate about seeing today’s youth thrive and succeed in this ever changing world. She sees immeasurable value in rural schools and recognizes the uniqueness each one brings to their communities. Rachelle desires for students, families, and teachers in rural schools to feel supported, valued, and deep rooted pride in their schools. Rural schools face unique and specific needs, and if elected, Rachelle is committed to listening to local concerns and bringing them to the table at a board level. She is eager to have the opportunity to be a local voice for our education sector and is committed to helping each school be the very best it can be.
