April - Principal Message

The month of March has come and gone! This month the basketball season concluded with Central School’s first invitational tournament on March 9th. Congratulations to both our boys’ and girls’ team on a great season and for finishing in 1st place at our tournament! For our younger students, March brought excitement with the return of Active Play for students in Grades 1-5. This after school program has always been a positive and healthy option for our students. March saw the start and end of our school’s Cowboy’s Caviar Beef Jerky Fundraiser which helped us raise money for new student chromebooks. Thank you to all who participated and congratulations to our top sellers! The month of March also provided parents and teachers with one final formal opportunity to meet to discuss student learning and progress.

The month of April begins with the Easter Break, giving our staff and students a well-deserved break from school. When we return to school the Grade 6-8 badminton season is set to start. We have some talented players and I cannot wait to see them in competition! Our SCC World’s Finest Chocolates Fundraiser will be in full swing for the month of April. These cases of assorted chocolate are a delicious way to raise funds for upcoming student activities and field trips.
