PARENTS: As you may be aware, the student transportation system within the city of Swift Current has taken on significant changes as a result of Holy Trinity Catholic School Division and Chinook School Division merging their routes. In addition, we worked with a new bus service provider over the summer on pick-up points and rerouting scenarios to accommodate the needs of students and schools.
In order to monitor the changes that were implemented, we have had personnel on site at various schools on the first few days of school this week. We are now in the midst of identifying possible refinements to improve service and minimize student after-school wait times.
We recognize this process takes some time and ask for your patience as we refine the system over the next week. We will communicate further information with families.
