The City of Swift Current has announced that they are adding a High School priority service through Swift Transit, offering bussing to SCCHS students residing in the central zone of the city, which is currently a walk zone for SCCHS. Swift Transit will have a table at SCCHS during registration days (Sept 5-6) for students to purchase passes.
As announced in June 2017, SCCHS will continue school bus transportation for eligible students in the city limits that are north of the #1 highway and south of the CP Rail mainline (south side). Chinook does not receive any funding for the transportation of high school students in urban centres, such as Swift Current.
