ATTENTION: All Parents/Guardians of students who will be bussed to Swift Current schools
You should have received a letter in the mail from the Transportation Department indicating your child’s bussing information for the 2017-18 school year.
If you require any changes or need to submit a transportation request, please contact
fbochek@chinooksd.ca or 306-778-9200 ext. 3281 by AUGUST 21. If you received your letter and require no changes, no action is required.
*Bus eligibility (walk zone) changes for Swift Current K-8 schools
Chinook School Division has had to make adjustments to walk zones for the city schools to reflect the provincial funding received for transportation outside of a 1km radius. In early June 2017, letters were mailed to the parents/guardians of students who rode the bus in 2016-17 and will no longer be eligible for transportation in the 2017-18 due to the walk zone adjustment.
PLEASE NOTE: You must make contact with the Chinook Transportation Department by August 21 in order for student transportation to be in place on the first day of school (September 5). In an effort to minimize service disruptions during the first few days of school, any changes or new requests submitted after August 21 will be implemented on September 11.
