Day 5

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Angad Sur.

• Grade 2 swimming lessons today through to Thursday.  

• Junior Boys Volleyball practice today at lunch from 11:45 to 12:20.  Any boys wanting to try out for the team must be there.

• Senior Boys Volleyball to meet in Ms.  Mas’ room at the beginning of lunch. 

• SCC Meeting and AGM has been postponed to Monday, October 4th 

• Senior Boys Volleyball practice Wednesday morning at 7am.

• Our Terry Fox Run will take place on Wed, Sept 29th. Thank you to all the staff and students who participated in Toonies for Terry Hat Day; we raised $541! We have raised over $4500 for the Terry Fox Foundation and we're getting close to reaching our goal of beating last year's total! We want to see Mr. Boyer and Mr. Darby dye their hair in our Irwin School colours, so keep those pledges coming! Wear your Irwin School colours on Wednesday to show your support! 

The draw for the Sputtergotch gift package will be made later this week, so there is still time to set up your fundraising page and collect pledges at www.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin 

• Intermediate boys' volleyball practice is Thursday at 7:30 AM.

• Pizza Meal Day is on Friday, with proceeds going to support our Terry Fox Run campaign.

• Orange Shirt Day on Thursday. 

• The online clothing store is now open and ready for business! It will be open for staff and families to purchase clothing items until Friday, October 8th. Information, including the link to the website, can be found on our school website and there are flyers available at the office. 

• Grade 6 Immunization Consents - if you have not done so yet, please return back to school as soon as possible.   Please hand it in at the office.   Grade 6 immunizations will be taking place on Wednesday, October 6th.

• Surge Basketball will be offering a series of instructional sessions to kick off the 2021-22 season. This camp will be open to any athlete in grades 5-12 who is looking for pre-season instruction. The sessions will focus on developing fundamental basketball skills (skill development sessions) and applying them in game situations (game days!).
