School pictures will be today for Kindergarten (McWillie) – Grade 8 and tomorrow for Kindergarten (Dyck). When the photographers are ready for your class, the office will notify you. Staff are welcome to pop by the gym at any time to get their picture taken. There will be no class photos taken today.
Grade 2 swimming lessons today and next week Monday to Thursday.
Junior Boys Volleyball practice is on Monday, September 27th from 11:45 to 12:20. Any boys wanting to try out for the team must be there.
We have raised just over $2500 dollars so far, so we are about halfway to our goal of meeting or beating last year's total. Mr. Darby and Mr. Boyer will have to dye their hair red or black if we reach our goal, so keep those pledges coming!
Pledges can be collected at www.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin and students can set up their fundraising page there to get a shareable link. Students who have already set up their fundraising page will be entered into the draw for a prize from The Sputtergotch Toy Company!
A reminder that Toonies for Terry Hat Day is tomorrow! Remember to bring a toonie donation to wear your hat!
We will be holding a Pizza Meal Day on Friday, October 1 with proceeds going to support our Terry Fox Run campaign. Order forms are due back to school today. Please hand orders in to your homeroom teacher.
The online clothing store is now open and ready for business! It will be open for staff and families to purchase clothing items until Friday, October 8th. Information, including the link to the website, can be found on our school website and there are flyers available at the office.
Grade 6 Immunization Consents will be sent home with students yesterday. Please return back to school as soon as possible. Please hand it in at the office. Grade 6 immunizations will be taking place on Wednesday, October 6th.
