Junior Boys Volleyball practice is on Monday, September 27th from 11:45 to 12:20. Any boys wanting to try out for the team must be there.
Our Terry Fox Run will take place Wed, Sept 29th. We are off to a fantastic start, having already collected over $2,000 in donations to support the Terry Fox Foundation!
Our goal this year is to meet or beat last year's total of $5347, and if we do, Mr. Darby and Mr. Boyer will dye their hair in our Irwin School colours red and white! The class that brings in the most fundraising dollars will get to choose who gets red and who gets white hair!
All pledges will be collected online at www.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin , students can also visit this site to set up their own fundraising page to collect donations and get their own sharable link. The first 25 students who set up their page will be entered into the draw for a gift package from the Sputtergotch Toy Company.
We will be holding a Toonies for Terry Hat day this Friday, September 24; where students bring a Toonie to wear their hat.
We will also be holding a Pizza Meal Day on Friday, October 1 with proceeds going to support our Terry Fox Run campaign. Order forms were sent home with students yesterday and will be due back to school tomorrow. Please hand orders in to your homeroom teacher.
The online clothing store is now open and ready for business! It will be open for staff and families to purchase clothing items until Friday, October 8th. Information, including the link to the website, can be found on our school website and there are flyers available at the office.
Grade 6 Immunization Consents will be sent home with students today. Please return back to school as soon as possible. Please hand it in at the office. Grade 6 immunizations will be taking place on Wednesday, October 6th.
