Day 2
TODAY AT IRWIN:
- The Terry Fox Run will take place on Wednesday, September 30th. Classes will walk the recommended route throughout the day, maintaining physical distance.
- All pledges will be collected online at www.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin
- Last year we raised $6063.80 for cancer research! Let's see if we can meet or beat last year's total.
- This year marks 40 years since Terry's Marathon of Hope, so for every 40 dollars students raise, our school will earn an extra minute of recess time for a day.
- The first 40 students to set up a fundraising page will be entered into a draw.
- Every student who sets up a fundraising page and collects a minimum of $40 in pledges, will be entered into a grand prize draw.
- Stay tuned to the morning announcements for more info on Terry Fox Run activities.
- Reminder to bus students that they need to wear their masks to their buses at dismissal.
- Gr. 5-8 students must wear masks at the end of the day when they are at their lockers; when they are in the hallways; and when they are going outside for recess.
- If students arrive late to school, their parents must phone the school and the students enter the main doors.
- The gym and library are remained closed to students until further notice.
- Grade 6 Immunizations – Consent forms provided by Saskatchewan Public Health were sent home with all Grade 6 students on Monday. If you have not yet returned, please have your parents fill out the consent form and bring the form back to school There will be a box in the office where we are collecting the forms on behalf of Saskatchewan Public Health. The Grade 6 Immunizations will be on Monday, October 5th in the gym.
- Orange Shirt Day will be next week, on Wednesday, September 30. Staff and students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt as a way of commemorating the residential school experience.
