Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN:

• Welcome to Irwin.    To all of the first time students, welcome to our school.  To all those students returning, welcome back!
• Opening Day Assembly will be held in the gym today at 2:15.
• EARLY DISMISSAL –  Early dismissal for the first couple weeks of school will be as follows: 
• 3:05pm – K – 4 (Tuesday, September 3^rd to Friday, September 13^th)
• 3:05pm – 5 – 8 (Tuesday, Septmeber 3^rd to Friday, September 6^th)

     We will resume our regular 3:15pm dismissal time on Monday, September 16^th.

• Volleyball tryouts will be begin this week for all teams.   Tryouts will be ran as follows:
• Wednesday, September 4^th  and Monday, September 9^th - 3:30 – 5:00pm (all boys)
• Thursday, September 5^th  and Tuesday September 10^th -- 3:30 – 5:00 (all girls)

There will be a sign-up sheet posted outside of the office today.    Sign-ups will be taken down the day of the first tryout.

• Grade 6 beginner band clinic will take place on September 6^th (6:00-8:00pm) and September 7^th (9:00am – 2:30pm).  Location of the clinic will be confirmed this week.
• Senior Boys and Girls Practices will held next week on Wednesday, September 11^th and Thursday, September 12^th from 3:30 – 5:00pm.
• Any Grade 6 – 8 students that are interested in doing Morning Announcements and/or Phone Ambassadors, please come down to the office to sign up.
• Sign-In sheets – All students are reminded that when you arrive late to school or if you are leaving early for any reason, please check in/out at the office.    If there is no one available in the office, there is a sign-in sheet at Mrs. Painchaud's desk where you will write your name, reason and the time you are leaving/returning.
