Day 2
TODAY AT IRWIN:
- Happy Birthday to Bill Pope. Please come down to the office for your birthday pencil.
- Recycling – Please place your recycle bins outside of your classroom doors for pick-up this morning.
- Pita Sale forms for the December 13th Pita Day were sent home yesterday. This Pita Day is a fundraiser being put on by the Senior Basketball teams. Forms are due back to your homeroom teachers by Friday morning at 8:40am.
- Today's Phone Ambassadors will be Chase Jasper and Zachary Potter.
- There will be a Student leadership team meeting today in the Library at 11:35. Please bring your lunch. Any Grade 6, 7, or 8 students are welcome even if you haven't come before. We will be planning some Christmas activities so if you have a good idea of something you would like to see happen come on out!
- Curling Club today after school. Please be at IPlex at 3:45pm and remember to bring your clean running shoes.
- Kids in the Kitchen today after school. This will be the last day for the fall session. Winter session will begin January 15th.
- Active Play for Grades 1 – 2 students today after school in the gym and front foyer.
- The Grade 6 – 8 Band Concert will take place this evening at 7pm. Please arrive at 6:30pm dressed in your band uniform.
- Tomorrow's morning announcers will be Kendra Shumaker and Ava Wotypka.
- Tomorrow's phone ambassadors will be Lexia Duncan and Taya Lee Dueck.
- Grade 8 Immunization Consents – Bonnie Shaw from Public Health will be here tomorrow morning to talk to the Grade 8 students about their upcoming immunizations and to hand out their consent forms.
- Active Play for Grades 3 – 6 students tomorrow after school in the gym and front foyer.
- Senior Boys Basketball practice Thursday after school.
- Application forms for Firearm Safety Hunter Education are in the office. This course is for students 11 years old and up. Deadline for applications is Thursday.
- Any Grade 5 – 8 students that are interested in doing a Christmas Card craft, there is a sign-up sheet posted outside of the office. This will take place over the lunch hour on Tuesday December 11th and Thursday December 13th.
- Swift Current Bronco Lung All-Star Fundraiser – For those pledges that are not being made online, there are pledge envelopes available in the office.
- December schedule for morning announcers and phone ambassadors are now available for pick-up in the office.
- In the library sitting on one of the bean bag chairs, there is a large "Reading Rover". If any students from K to Grade 8 read a good story from the library and fill out a book recommendation in the bucket then their name will be entered in a draw to take Rover home just before Christmas. The draw will be made on December 20th to find Rover a new home! Good luck and Good Reading!
