TODAY AT IRWIN:

• Happy Birthday to Jada Grainger and Cutter Knight.  Please come down to the office for your birthday pencil.

• Ava Wotypka and Skylar Vandendort will be on Safety Patrol today after school.   Please be down at the office ready to go by 3:10pm.
   
• Library Club today at lunch.
   
• Grade 2 swimming lessons will continue today and tomorrow.  Next week they will have lessons Monday, February 12^th – Thursday, February 15^th.
   
• Pizza orders will be due back tomorrow and need to be handed in to your homeroom teacher.
   
• Wrestling practice tomorrow at lunch beginning at 11:50.
   
• Grade 9 Registration at SCCHS for Grade 8 students tonight beginning at 7pm.   Surnames starting with N-Z will attend. 
   
• Senior Boys Basketball practice today after school from 3:30 – 5:00pm.
   
• Intermediate Boys Red Basketball practice tomorrow morning at 7am.
   
• Grade 5 Skating tomorrow afternoon at Riverdene Rink.   Students will be walking to the rink, leaving the school at 12:30.   Please remember your warm clothes, mitts and helmet.   Helmets are MANDATORY.
   
• Intermediate Boys White Basketball practice tomorrow after school from 3:30 – 4:30pm.
   
• Intermediate Girls Red Basketball practice tomorrow after school from 3:30 – 4:30pm.
   
• Senior Girls Basketball game tomorrow after school at Centennial.
   
• Intermediate Girls White Basketball game tomorrow after school at Central.
   
• Olympic Day on Friday.   Wear Red, White and Gold to show our support for our Canadian Athletes.    Check out the Olympic Memorabilia in the trophy case by the store.
   
• Hat Day on Friday.   Bring $1 and wear your favorite hat for the day.   All funds raised will go towards the Grade 7 Ski Trip.
   
• Intermediate Girls Red Basketball game Friday after school at Irwin.
   
• Any students interested in winning a pair of Bronco tickets for this Friday need to see Mr. Eltom.  Tickets for the draw cost $1 each.   The draw will take place Friday morning.   The money raised will go towards the Grade 7 Ski Trip.
   
• The Grade 7 classes will be hosting a lunch hour fundraiser for their ski trip today.  Bring some loonies to try your luck at winning candies / draw prizes by taking 3-point basketball shots and floor hockey accuracy shooting and a breakaway contest.
   
• Crosswalks are designed to keep pedestrians together where they can be seen by motorists and where they can cross the street most safely. Lately, there has been an increase in people crossing in the middle of the street. It is important that all students, staff, and parents use crosswalks when crossing the street for their own safety, and to set a safe example for others.
