Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Ict Hut today at morning break

• There will be no chess club this week.    Chess Club will resume in January.

• For the months of December and January, OM Irwin school will be supporting local families by collecting items for the new Community Fridge which is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue NE and Cheadle Street East, across from the Great Plains College. The Community Fridge supports anyone who is struggling to access food and personal items. Each Friday, the collected items will be dropped off by staff and students at the Community Fridge. We ask that each grade group bring donations to their classrooms during their specific week. This week, donations will be brought in by the Grade 6 students.

• There will be an important meeting for all recycling groups at the morning recess this morning in the Art room. 

• Our school SLC is hosting a Christmas Spirit Week this week and will be as follows:

• Today - Christmas Colour Day: red/green/white

• Tomorrow - Christmas Sweater Day:  can be ugly, bright & colourful…

• Friday - Comfy Cozy Day:  wear comfy clothes, Christmas PJ’s, etc.

• Today is Christmas Concert day.

• Today’s Dress Rehearsal will begin at 1pm, with our K - 3 group going first with their performance.   The Grades 4 - 5’s performance will follow immediately after.

• ​Evening performances will be as follows:

• Grades K - 3 - Doors open at 6:00pm - concert starts at 6:30pm.  Please use front doors.

• Grades 4 - 5 - Doors open at 7:30pm - concert starts at 7:45pm.   Please use Bus loop doors   

• Intermediate Boys Basketball Practice - December 21th @ 7:30am

• Last Day of Classes will be Friday, December 22nd. 

• December Assembly - December 22nd at 10:30am

• Pizza Hut Meal Day - December 22nd
