Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday to Natalie Breton, who celebrated over the weekend.

• Ice Hut today at morning break.

• For the months of December and January, OM Irwin school will be supporting local families by collecting items for the new Community Fridge which is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue NE and Cheadle Street East, across from the Great Plains College. The Community Fridge supports anyone who is struggling to access food and personal items. Each Friday, the collected items will be dropped off by staff and students at the Community Fridge. We ask that each grade group bring donations to their classrooms during their specific week. This week, donations will be brought in by the Grade 5 students.

• Chess club will be in the library today from 12:00-12:25 and tomorrow from 11:35-12:00.  

• Local Love Gift Card Fundraiser Pickup today after school from 3:15 - 6:00pm

• Toast Tuesday for December will take tomorrow morning. Everyone is welcome to come to the foyer for a piece of toast and juice. Please remember to clean up after yourself! 

• Grade 6-8 band concert tomorrow evening beginning at 7pm. Band students are asked to please arrive at 6:30 dressed in all black clothing.

• Staff Meeting Wednesday after school which will begins at 3:30pm in the library.

• Burger King Meal Day on Friday. 

• Applications for the Firearm Safety Hunter Education Course are now available in the office.    This course is for students in Grade 6 and up.   Deadline for applications is December 8th.   Please hand them in at the office.
