Day 6

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Brandt Balliett and Tanika Dumont.

• Ice Hut today at morning break.

• There will be bottle recycling today for Group C. Please meet Mrs. Tinant in the art room at 11:35.

• Information regarding our school’s Community Fridge Initiative was emailed home to families yesterday.   For the months of December and January, OM Irwin school will be supporting local families by collecting items for the new Community Fridge which is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue NE and Cheadle Street East, across from the Great Plains College. The Community Fridge supports anyone who is struggling to access food and personal items. Each Friday, the collected items will be dropped off by staff and students at the Community Fridge. We ask that each grade group bring donations to their classrooms during their specific week. This week, donations will be brought in by the Grade 8 students.

• Local Love Gift Card Fundraiser Pickup will be on Monday after school from 3:15 - 6:00pm

• Toast Tuesday will take place next Tuesday, December, 5th. Everyone is welcome to come to the foyer for a piece of toast and juice. Please remember to clean up after yourself! (This one can run Monday too!)

• Grade 6-8 band concert is next Tuesday, December 5 at 7pm. Please arrive at 6:30 dressed in all black clothing.

• Applications for the Firearm Safety Hunter Education Course are now available in the office.    This course is for students in Grade 6 and up.   Deadline for applications is December 8th.   Please hand them in at the office.
