Day 4

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today Corbin Link and Remy Teste.

• Ice Hut today at morning break.

• Chess club will meet today from 11:35-12:25 in the library

• Grade 7 and 8 band students will have a combined band class in period 7 today. 

• No choir at noon today. 

• Information regarding our school’s Community Fridge Initiative was emailed home to families yesterday.   For the months of December and January, OM Irwin school will be supporting local families by collecting items for the new Community Fridge which is located on the corner of 2nd Avenue NE and Cheadle Street East, across from the Great Plains College. The Community Fridge supports anyone who is struggling to access food and personal items. Each Friday, the collected items will be dropped off by staff and students at the Community Fridge. We ask that each grade group bring donations to their classrooms during their specific week. This week, donations will be brought in by the Grade 8 students.

• The Grade 8 students will be attending the Mary Poppins play this morning at the Comp.   Grades 8’s will walk over to the high school around 9:00 a.m., and return to Irwin after the play at 11:30 a.m. 

• Burger King Meal day order forms will be due back tomorrow.  Please hand in to your homeroom teachers.

• Shelter in Place Drill tomorrow morning at 11:20am.

• Grade 6-8 band concert is next Tuesday, December 5 at 7pm. Please arrive at 6:30 dressed in all black clothing.

• Curling Club sign up sheets for Grades 6 - 8 students are now posted outside of the office.     Any students that are interested, please see Miss Evans for permission forms. 

• Applications for the Firearm Safety Hunter Education Course are now available in the office.    This course is for students in Grade 6 and up.   Deadline for applications is December 8th.   Please hand them in at the office.
