Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Lucas Ta and Zienna Zanidean.   Happy Birthday to Madison Redden, Brian Arendt, Noah Gruhlke and Bentley Wason who all celebrated over the weekend. 

• Ice Hut today during morning break

• Congratulations to the Senior Boys Volleyball team for a spectacular weekend at Districts in Fox Valley. The boys played great all day and battled Ecole Centennial in a very close 3-set final match and came out on top with a first-place win! Way to go on being the SWAC Champs - you should all be very proud of yourselves. Well done boys! 

• Congratulations to Mr Froese’s Intermediate Girls’ volleyball team on a great season! The girls ended the season by playing their best volleyball and turned that into a second-place finish at our tournament last Friday. They played with heart and determination - excellent work, girls!”

• Senior Boys Volleyball team will have Serving practice today at lunch from 12:00-12:25

• Chess Club will be canceled for the day.  Please listen for announcements for a rescheduled date. 

• The Senior Boys have playoffs today at Ecole Centennial. Their first game is at 5:00 vs All Saints in the ECS gym. Come out and cheer on our boys as they battle for the City Banner! Let's go Ice! 

• Toast Tuesday for November will be tomorrow morning beginning at 8:15.   Everyone is welcome to attend. 

• The sign up sheets for the Senior Girls basketball team are posted outside the office.  Students in grades 6-8 are welcome to sign up. Please see Mrs. Robinson if you have questions or if you cannot make a tryout time.  Tryout times will be:

• Tues., November 14 3:20-5:00

• Tues., November 21 3:20-5:00

• If you are interested in trying out for the Senior Boys Basketball Team, please sign up outside the office.   Tryouts will be as follows:

• Tryout - Tuesday, November 7    3:15 - 5:00

• Call Backs - Thursday, November 9   3:15 - 5:00

• Wednesday, November 8th is National Jersey Day! Can't wait to see all our staff and students representing their favorite teams on Wednesday! 

• Our Remembrance Day service will be Thursday in periods 3 & 4. Parents and families are welcome to attend.   All of our students and staff are encouraged to dress in formal attire for the service.    Homeroom teachers, please choose two students from your class to carry your class' wreath during the service. Names need to be added to the Google Doc that was shared with staff by the end of the day today. 

• Gym Blast for Grades 6 - 8 Students Friday - Gym Blast will take place in the morning therefore gym will be available for regular scheduled classes and open gym for the morning only. 

• Online Booking Portal for Parent Teacher Conferences is now open.   Information has been emailed to families and is also posted on the school’s website.    Online Bookings will close on Tuesday, November 7th
