Day 2

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Willow McMurty.    Happy Birthday to the following students who celebrated over this past weekend:   Timothy Arendt, Kylynn Wall, Josh Wallace, Chelsea Benis, Enija Daugina, Kaira Vaghela and Rebecca Woelk.   

• Ice Hut today during morning break for Grades 7 -8 students 

• This is Music Week within the Chinook School Division. Grade 4s and 5s will be visiting SCCHS this morning to listen to Garth Prince, who is from Edmonton, to do some combination of singing, dancing, xylophones (Orff Schulwerk and Namibian marimba inspired) and drumming.  Grade 4’s will be attending 9:00-10:00 am and the Grade 5’s will be attending 10:15-11:15 am.

• Grade 2 Swimming Lessons today through to  Friday.

• Intermediate boys will travel to Herbert today for league play

• Senior boys volleyball game today at Fairview. Please meet Mr. Boyer in the foyer right after school 

• Active Play today for Grade 1 - 2 students beginning at 3:30pm.

• Our total for Terry Fox fundraising is over $8000, so that means Mr. Darby will be doing an incentive for us!  What will Darby Do? You can help to decide! Will he shave his head? Will he shave his beard? Will he dye his hair? Purchase a ballot for $1.00 and you can choose! Students can buy as many ballots as they wish! Ballots are available from Terry's Team members in the foyer at recess until this Friday. 

• Kids in the Kitchen is back this month! This is an after school cooking program for students in Grade 6. Registration forms were emailed last week to Grade 6 parents. Please complete the registration form by October 11th to secure your spot.   The Fall Session of Kids in the Kitchen begins on October 17th. 

• Choir will begin this Thursday, October 5 for any interested students in Grade 4-8.  Please come to the band room at 11:35am.

• Fire Drill on Thursday at 11:20am

• Senior Boys Volleyball Practice Thursday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm

• Active Play for Grades 3 - 5 students Thursday after school beginning at 3:30pm

• Our Pizza Meal Day will take place this Friday, with proceeds going to our Terry Fox Run fundraiser.
