Day 2

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Brealynn Jones

•  Ice Hut today during morning break for Grades 7 - 8 students  

• Intermediate boys will have a practice at lunch today. Please eat your lunch quickly and head down to the gym.

• The first SLC meeting of the year will be held today at 11:35 in the library. Any students in Grade 6-8 are welcome to attend. Please bring your lunch. 

• School Pictures for Mrs. Robson’s Kindergarten Class will take place this morning.

• Today is the deadline for name submission for the polar bear twins.   Please submit names to the office.

• Terry Fox Run will take place this Friday in Periods 3 & 4. We will leave Irwin shortly after 10:30 and be back for lunch. Families are welcome to join us for the walk.  Staff and students are encouraged to wear Irwin School colors on Friday. 

• We will be holding our second Toonies for Terry Hat Day this Friday.   Staff and Students are encouraged to bring a toonie and wear their hat for the day.

• Our fundraising total as of this morning is $6,201.40,  If we reach our $10,000 goal, our school will earn an afternoon off with dance parties with DJ Darby and other activities. If we raise over $7000 as we have in the past few years, Mr. Darby has agreed to let us choose what his incentive for us will be. Stay tuned this week on how you can vote on what Mr. Darby will have to do! 

• Students can set up their own fundraising page at http://schools.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin All students who collect pledges through their online page will be entered into a prize draw.
