Day 6

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Quick reminder for each homeroom to come up with names for the polar bear twins.    Please have names in by Friday. 

•  Ice Hut today during morning break for Grades 7 - 8 students  

• Grade 4 classes will continue with their swimming lessons today and tomorrow.   

• Terry’s Team will meet today at 11:35 in the Art Room.  Please bring your lunch. 

• Active Play for Grades 3-5 starts tomorrow.  They will be using room 301, the courtyard, and foyer.

• The Irwin Intermediate Girls Red team and Boys team will have a game against each other  tomorrow after school. Please remember your jerseys and running shoes! 🏃‍♂️ 

• The Senior Boys will practice tomorrow evening from 5:00 - 7:00.

• Grade 6 Immunizations consent forms are due back tomorrow.   If you have not yet handed your form in, please bring them down to the office. 

• 2023-2024 School Pictures - tommorrow for Ms McWillie’s Kindergarten Class - Grade 8

• 2023-2024 School Pictures - Friday for Mrs. Robson’s Kindergarten Class

     TERRY FOX ANNOUNCEMENTS

• Terry Fox Run will take place this Friday in Periods 3 & 4. We will leave Irwin shortly after 10:30 and be back for lunch. Families are welcome to join us for the walk.

• We will be holding our second Toonies for Terry Hat Day this Friday.   Staff and Students are encouraged to bring a toonie and wear their hat for the day.

• Thank you to everyone who ordered a #Dear Terry t-shirt. They will be distributed to you this week when they come in. 

• Our fundraising total as of this morning is $4,406.40, which includes a generous donation from our local Giant Tiger Store of $500.00.   If we reach our $10,000 goal, our school will earn an afternoon off with dance parties with DJ Darby and other activities. If we raise over $7000 as we have in the past few years, Mr. Darby has agreed to let us choose what his incentive for us will be. Stay tuned this week on how you can vote on what Mr. Darby will have to do! 

• Students can set up their own fundraising page at http://schools.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin All students who collect pledges through their online page will be entered into a prize draw.
