Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Grade 4 classes will continue their swimming lessons this week, today and tomorrow and next week Monday through Thursday.

• Senior Girls Volleyball practice tonight from 5 - 7pm 

• Try-outs for intermediate will take place today from 3:30-4:30pm. We will host our first practice tomorrow from 3:30-4:30pm to get ready for our Tournament in Herbert this weekend. Good luck and go ice!

• Senior Boys Volleyball Practice this week:

• Today at lunch 

• Tomorrow from 4:30-6:00

• Friday from 3:15- 4:30

•  Ice Hut is back starting Monday, September 18th 

• Day 1, 3, 5 at morning break will be for Grade 5s and 6s

• Day 2, 4, 6 at morning break will be for Grade 7s and 8s

     TERRY FOX ANNOUNCMENTS

• Our Terry Fox Run will take place on Friday, September 22 in periods 3&4. Families are welcome to join us for the walk. 

• We will be having our first Toonies for Terry Hat day on Friday. Bring a toonie and wear your hat to school for the day. 

• This Friday we will be holding a Family Movie Night fundraiser at 6:30pm. Admission is free, and we will be selling treats and drinks as well as collecting donations at the event. Pre-order forms for treats are due today. The movie will be DC League of SuperPets. Bring your pillows, sleeping bags and favourite stuffies along for the show! 

• Orders and money for the #Dear Terry t-shirt sales are due back tomorrow. Please complete the Google Form that was sent to families earlier this week and bring payment to your homeroom teacher. 

• Students are encouraged to write their own #Dear Terry message on the goal tracker by the gym.

• Students can set up their own fundraising page on our website at https://schools.terryfox.ca/OMIrwin All students who collect pledges through their page on our site will be entered into our prize draw!
