Day 2

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Brealyn Jones

• Today is Fall Picture day for Kindergarten through to Grade 8.  Classes will be called down to the gym following announcements.    We will be starting with Kindergarten and calling up grades in order.    Teachers, if you need to have your class go earlier or later, please let the office know.    Staff Group Photo will take place at 12 noon.   

• Ms. McWillie’s class will have their pictures taken Friday morning.   

• Pizza Orders are due back today for our September 29th Pizza Day with all proceeds going towards our Terry Fox Run fundraiser.

• Boys Volleyball practice today at lunch.  Please meet Mr. Froese in the foyer at 11;35am. 

• Terry's Team members please  meet in the Art room today at 11:35. 

• The cross country team will meet at first break in Mr. Siemens's room. 

• Senior Girls Volleyball practice will be held today after school from 3:30 - 5:00pm. 

• Grade 6-8 SLC reps will meet tomorrow at 11:35 in the art room. Please bring your lunch.

• Junior girls will practice tomorrow at noon starting at 11:45am. 😊

• As of today, our Terry Fox Fundraiser has raised $4,500 for cancer research!  Be sure to collect those online pledges over the weekend. Visit http://schools.terryfox.ca/omirwin to access our fundraising page! If we meet or beat last year's total of $7780, students will earn an afternoon of fun activities and a dance with DJ Darby! If we raise $8000, Mr. Froese will shave his beard! 

• Toonies for Terry Hat day is tomorrow - bring a toonie to wear your hat for the day.

• Friday there will be a OSAC presentation - Bollywood Dancing with Karina ESSA at 2:00 in the gym.  

UPCOMING EVENTS

• Cross Country Team Riverside Run September 26th (at southside park)

• Grade 4 Swimming Lessons September 26 - 29th and October 3 - 6th

• Grade 6 Immunizations will be held on Thursday, September 29th 

• Irwin staff and students will wear orange shirts on Thursday September 29th.   National Orange Shirt day is Friday, September 30th (no school for students)

• Teachers’ Convention on Friday, September 30th - No School for Students. 

• Terry Fox Run - October 6th
