Day 5

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday to Logan Bowers and Kate Halpenny who celebrated over the weekend. 

• Grade 2 classes will continue with their swimming lessons today to Wednesday.

•  

• All boys volleyball players please meet in Mr. Froese’s room this morning during the first break. 

• Senior Girls Volleyball practice will be held today, tomorrow and Thursday after school from 3:30 - 5:00pm. 

•  

• Our Terry Fox Run fundraiser is off to a fantastic start! As of today, we have raised $2,650 for cancer research! Be sure to collect those online pledges over the weekend. Visit http://schools.terryfox.ca/omirwin to access our fundraising page! If we meet or beat last year's total of $7780, students will earn an afternoon of fun activities and a dance with DJ Darby! If we raise $8000, Mr. Froese will shave his beard!

• Mrs Wongs class has raised $375 and is ahead of Mrs Fritzke's class. Way to go Gr 5s! 

• We have one class competition that is registered on the website between our grade 5 classes- So far Mrs. Wong's class is in the lead! 

• Toonies for Terry Hat day will be Friday, Sept. 23rd- bring a toonie to wear your hat for the day.

• We will be holding a Pizza Hut meal day on Sept. 29th with proceeds going to our Terry Fox Run fundraiser. Forms will be sent home with students today and will be due back this Thursday. 

• Fall Picture day will be this Thursday for Miss Robson’s Kindergarten class to Grade 8.   Ms. McWillie’s class will have their pictures taken Friday morning.
