Day 5

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Jasper Toye.

• Irwin School Spirit Color Day is today.  Staff and students are invited to wear our school colors: red, white and black.

• Ice Hut today for Grade 5  and 6  students today during morning break.      

• Library Club today for Grade 8’s today.   81’s will have library this morning and the 82's will have library club over the lunch break (12:00 - 12:25) Supervisor will be Mrs. Weinbender.

• Lifetouch Kindergarten Grad Photos this morning.

• It is that time of year again, it's NHL playoffs!  We will have our annual playoff draft this year again.  Deadline to enter is 6:00pm, Monday, May 2nd.    Staff and students will pick 10 players and 1 team's goalies who they feel will get the most points in the playoffs.  One point each for goals and assists, 3 for wins and 5 for shutouts.  The link is available on the school’s website, where you can enter your team.  

A few hints to keep in mind when entering:

• when you register, please use your real name.  It is hard to figure out who people are when people use things like coolguy45 as a username.  

• make sure the players you are picking are actually in the playoffs!

• you must enter an email, students can use their Chinook one or one they have already.  

• only one team per person, any extra teams will be deleted.

• The playoffs begin on Monday, May 2nd at 6:00pm.  This will be the deadline for entries.  

• The prizes are a $30, $20 and a $10 gift card from Sport Chek for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

• Victoria Day - May 23rd - No school for staff and students
