Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN: 

• Happy Birthday today to Shriya Desai, Brooklyn Hornung, Tate Leshures and Miss Kyle.

• Ice Hut today for Grade 5 - 8 students during morning break.    

• GSA will be cancelled today for students in Mrs. Wong’s Grade 5 class.

• The Senior Girls Basketball team will have their league final tonight here at Irwin.    Please come out and support our girls.     We would love to see the gym packed to cheer on our team.   

• Library Club for Grade 8’s today.    During morning break, the 81’s will have access to the library and the 82’s will have it over the lunch break (12:00 - 12:25) Supervisor will be Mrs. Schwartz.

• Irwin School Spirit Day tomorrow.   Staff and Students are invited to wear their Irwin gear and or Irwin colours (Red, White and Black)

• Any Grade 4 - 8 students who are interested in Surge Basketball, there are information forms available in the office.  Deadline to register is tomorrow.

• Badminton sign-up sheets are now posted outside the office for Grade 6 - 8 students.  When signing up, students please keep in mind that you can only sign up for one category (ie: singles, doubles or mixed).  Deadline to sign up will be tomorrow.  Tryouts will begin next week.  Grade 7’s will tryout on Monday Grade 8’s will be Tuesday and Grade 6 will be Thursday. 

• This week is Kindergarten Registration Week for the 2022-2023 school year.  For families wanting to register a child for Kindergarten, the forms are available on our school’s website and there are paper copies available for pick-up in the office.   

• Online Bookings for PTC’s are now open.   Parents will have until the end of day Friday to book their child’s parent-teacher conference with their homeroom teacher. Information can be found on our school's website.

• St. Patrick’s Day “Green is the Colour” Spirit Day March 17th - Staff and Students are encouraged to wear green 

• Subway Meal Day - Friday, March 18th

• Parent - Teacher Conferences - Monday, March 21st and Wednesday, March 23rd 

• No School Friday, March 25 in lieu of Parent Teacher Conferences

• Teacher PD Day Monday, March 28th - No School for Students

• “Sports Jersey” Spirit Day is on March 30 - Staff and Students are invited to wear their favorite jersey
