Bus Status App for Swift Current Bus Routes

We're excited to introduce a new way to communicate important updates about school bus routes within the city of Swift Current. We will be transitioning away from the automated phone calls, texts and emails through SchoolMessenger, but for a time period we will be using both methods. Please follow the directions below to add the Bus Status app to your device.

What is Bus Status?

Bus Status is a convenient app that will enable you to quickly get notified if there is a change in the status of your school bus. Example, you'll receive a push notification on your devices if your bus is cancelled or delayed by adding the bus that your child takes to My Buses. Please follow the steps below.

Please ensure you have push notifications enabled on your device! Follow the steps below. 

  1. Search “Bus Status” on the App Store or Google Play. Download the Bus Status 4 app by Box Clever.
  2. Open the Bus Status app and select "Chinook School Division".
  3. Go to "All Buses". Tap the star to add the bus or buses to My Buses.
  4. You’ll receive a notification when one of your buses is Delayed or Cancelled but you must allow notifications in settings. Ensure push notifications are enabled in your device settings so you'll be alerted any time one of your selected bus is delayed or cancelled. You can also go into the app to check the status of your bus at any time.
  5. Tap the bell icon to see general Notifications.

You can also view Bus Status updates on your school website and the Chinook website! Click on the bus icon, then select the bus or busses your child is registered for.
