Day 6
TODAY AT IRWIN:
- The Terry Fox Run is tomorrow. Classes will walk the recommended route throughout the day, maintaining physical distance. Students, please make sure to dress for the weather.
- We have raised over $3000 so far for cancer research through the Terry Fox campaign!
- There is still time to collect pledges until the end of the week. All pledges are collected at www.terryfox.ca/omirwin.
- Be sure to check out the "What's Your 40?" displays that are around the school that commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope.
- Orange Shirt Day is tomorrow. Staff and students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt as a way of commemorating the residential school experience.
- October Newsletter will be emailed to families tomorrow.
- The gym is now open for Phys Ed. Classes are encouraged to continue having their Phys Ed outside weather permitting.
- Grade 6 Immunizations – Any Grade 6 students who have yet to bring in their consent forms, please bring down to office.
- The Grade 6 Immunizations will be on Monday, October 5th in the gym.
- Reminder to bus students that they need to wear their masks to their buses at dismissal.
- Gr. 5-8 students must wear masks at the end of the day when they are at their lockers; when they are in the hallways; in the washrooms and when they are going outside for recess.
- If students arrive late to school, their parents must phone the school and the students enter the main doors.
- The library will be remained closed to students until further notice.
- Fire Prevention Week is set for next week – October 4th – October 10th Stay tuned for more details.
