RED DRESS DAY
Over the next few days you will see a display of red dresses, artwork, and posters hanging throughout our school. This display is designed by Visual Art 30 students to bring awareness to #RedDressDay.
May 5 is Red Dress Day, a day to remember and honour missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ peoples (MMIWG2S+).
You can join the cause by hanging a red dress in your yard/community, colouring a paper red dress to hang in your window, or by attending the community Red Dress Awareness gathering and beading workshop on May 4th at the Swift Current Library. Please respect these works of art as they are meant to be temporary installations bringing attention to an important topic for all Canadians.
ROBOTICS CLUB
Sergio, Sean, Emily, Bree and Elizabeth went to Sask Polytech in Saskatoon and competed in Robot Rumble. There were over 60 teams from 26 high schools across SK. S & S placed 3rd in their pool in the round robin. Great work to both teams. #saskpolytech #sasktel #robotrumble

Comp Cereal Drive! All students are invited to participate in the "Knock Down Hunger" Cereal Drive ending Wednesday, May 8. Grades will compete to see who can bring in the MOST BOXES OF CEREAL by next Wednesday. The winning grade will get an ice cream party in the student lounge served by Comp staff!!

The grade 9s are in the lead for cereal Drive donations with 5 boxes as of yesterday afternoon. Bring your (unopened, unexpired) boxes of cereal to help your grade win an ice cream party and to support hungry kids and families in our community!

These are the pictures from the Eco-Club/Best Buddies walk last Friday. We picked up so much garbage! If you could caption it: Eco-Club/Best Buddies garbage pick up walk! Top finds of the day included: a full tube of Summer Fridays lipgloss, a Nike Sweatband, and a full box of fruit bars!
