CST CURTI'S TIP OF THE WEEK

Most of my content for the Tip of the Week comes from just driving around town. I always have my head on a swivel, and I am super aware of my surroundings. Now that spring is upon us the roads in the city are very layered with the gravel that was put down to assist us in the winter months. That same gravel is now our enemy as it now does the opposite. I want to bring attention specifically to intersections and crosswalks. Vehicles will not stop on a dime right now and pedestrians are at risk. They should be aware of you, and you should be aware of them ………and the road conditions play an important role too. So, watch out for each other out there.

  1. Sec 223 (1) fail to yield to pedestrian at intersection/crosswalk - $230
  2. Sec 223(1.1) fail to stop for a pedestrian at a marked pedestrian crossing - $230
  3. Sec 223(2) pass a vehicle stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk (intersection/marked) - $150
  4. Sec 223(3) pedestrian walk into path of vehicle when unsafe - $70

If you know you know!!
