TODAY AT IRWIN:
Today's phone ambassadors will be Chase Jasper and Zachary Potter.
Grade 7/8 Band students away today due to their band trip to Calgary. Students will return around 6:30pm this evening..
Pizza Order Forms are due back today. Please hand in to your home room teacher.
Monday's morning announcers will be Gracie Thierman, Mikenna Painchaud and Tenille Willows.
Monday's phone ambassadors will be Karley Tait and Brooklyn Dmyterko.
Grade 8 Career Fair takes place Monday, June 17
th
from 1 – 3pm in the library. Come and check out the displays and projects.
All student library books are now overdue. Please return all your books right away or pay the fine if you cannot find them or they are damaged. Mrs. Dycks kindergarten class and 5FA had all their books dealt with yesterday and win the big prizes for having all their books returned first. As extra incentive there will also be prizes for the next 6 classes... Elementary or Middle Years, that have all their books paid for or returned first. Be responsible for the books and please return or pay the fines right away!
A reminder to Grade 6 – 8 students that walk to 7-Eleven at lunch break… students are not allowed to bring a M, L, or XL slurpee into school. Students are only allowed to bring a
small sized slurpee
into school. These guidelines also include super big gulps.
A reminder to students attending open gym – all students must wear running shoes during open gym time. Open toed shoes or sandals are NOT ALLOWED!
Citizenship Award nomination forms are now available in the office. Citizenship Awards are for Grade 6 – 8 students. Students can be nominated by fellow students and/or staff members. Deadline for nominations will be today.
Grade 8 students please remember to send your photo for the Grade 8 Farewell to Mrs. Thompson by today.
Middle Year's Playground climbing structure will be open to students today.
Starting today, the grade 4-5 can use it during the AM and PM breaks. The 6-8s can use it at lunch. We will try this rotation and we can adjust it if needed. If the novelty of the new playground wears off sooner than later, we will look at removing the schedule.
Clothing orders should arrive towards the end next week.
