Day 5

TODAY AT IRWIN:

• Happy Birthday to Evan Davis, Ivy Dudary-McWillie and Luke Dugan.   Please come down to the office for your birthday pencil.
• Recycling – Please place your recycling bins outside your classroom doors for pick-up this morning.
• Swimming Lessons for the Grade 4's will continue this week today, tomorrow and Friday.
• Deadline to bring FCC Food Drive donations is today.  Students on Irwin's Student Leadership Team have posted charts around the school to show the number of items that have been donated by each classroom to have a little homeroom competition.  There will be a candy prizes for a downstairs homeroom and an upstairs homeroom that bring in the most number of items this morning.  This is a quick competition so make sure to remember you items for this morning!  Thanks for your donations.
• Education Week this week.   Activities will be as follows:
• Today – Read and Relax with a Muffin Morning from 8:00 – 8:40am.  Parents are invited to come and have breakfast with their child while enjoying a book.  Baskets of books will be set out for families to read.   Older students will be available to read with any students who do not come with a parent.
• Thursday – Writing Workshops
• K – 2 will be creating Claymations
• Grade 3 – 4 – Poetry Workshop
• Grade 5 – 8 Writers Workshop "A Store in a Cube"

• Friday – Dress up to share your culture.
  
• Today's Phone Ambassadors will be Carter Woytowich and Kendra Shumaker.
  
• Pizza Notes for the October 26^th Pizza Day were sent home yesterday.   Forms are due back on Thursday.
• Tomorrow's Morning Announcers will be Lexia Nickel-Duncan and Taya Lee Dueck.
• Tomorrow's Phone Ambassadors will be Chase Jasper and Zachary Potter. 
• Fall Session of Kids in the Kitchen begins today after school.  The lists for Kids in the Kitchen sessions are posted by the office. Please check the list to see which session you will be in. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mrs. Thompson. 
• Senior Girls Volleyball practice today after school.
• Intermediate Girls Volleyball practice tomorrow morning at 7am.
• Grade 6 Immunizations tomorrow beginning at 8:40am in the Art Room.
• Senior Boys Volleyball practice tomorrow after school.
• Band Students: Fruit and Cookie Dough Fundraisers are due tomorrow.
• Agriculture in the Classroom for Grade 4 students will be on Thursday.
• School Picture Retakes on Friday beginning at 12:45pm.
