Day 3

TODAY AT IRWIN:

• Happy Birthday to Sophia Alano and Karlee Larson.  Please come down to the office to get your birthday pencil!
• Grade 7 students who volunteered for crossing guard duty last year can come to the office after announcements to sign up for shifts for the week.
• EARLY DISMISSAL –  Early dismissal for the first couple weeks of school will be as follows:
• 3:10pm – K – 4 (Thursday, September 6^th to Friday, September 14^th)
• 3:10pm – 5 – 8 (Thursday, September 6^th and Friday, September 7^th)
• Volleyball tryouts will be held this week for all teams.   Tryouts will be ran as follows:
• Today -- 3:30 – 5:00 (all girls)
• Monday, September 10^th – 3:30 – 5:00 (all boys)
• Tuesday, September 11^th – 3:30 – 5:00 (all girls)

There will be a sign-up sheet posted outside of the office.    Sign-ups will be taken down the day of the first tryout.

• Volleyball Officials Clinic is being held tonight at SCCHS in the Lecture Theatre.    Clinic begins at 6:30 and admission is free.  Everyone is welcome!

• Library will be opening to students today. 
• School Spirit Day tomorrow.   Wear school colours to show Irwin Ice Pride.
• Grade 6 beginner band clinic will take place on Friday (6:45-9:00pm) and Saturday (9:00am – 2:30pm) at All Saints School.
• Any Grade 5 students interested in playing flag football, please sign up on the sheet outside of the office.   See Mr. Kohlman if you have questions.
• If any Grade 6 – 8 students are interested in doing morning announcements this year, please sign up on the sheet outside of the office.   See Mr. Kohlman if interested.
• If any Grade 6 – 8 students are interested in being an office phone ambassador at noon, please sign up on the sheet outside of the office and see Mr. Kohlman if you have any questions.
• Senior Girls Volleyball practice Thursday, September 13^th
• Senior Boys Volleyball practice Wednesday, September 12^th.
  Sign-In sheets – All students are reminded that when you arrive late to school or if you are leaving early for any reason, please check in/out at the office.    If there is no one available in the office, there is a sign-in sheet at Mrs. Painchaud's desk where you will write your name, reason and the time you are leaving/returning.
