Day 1

TODAY AT IRWIN:

• Welcome to Irwin.    To all of the first time students, welcome to our school.  To all those students returning, welcome back!
• Happy Birthday to Aiden Kilshaw.
• Happy Birthday to Alex Carleton, Silver Dahl, Rae-Lynn Dueck, Hudson Johnston and Hunter Luepke who had birthdays earlier in September.  Please come down to the office to get your birthday pencil!
• Opening Day Assembly will be held in the gym today at 2:15.
• EARLY DISMISSAL –  Early dismissal for the first couple weeks of school will be as follows:
• 3:10pm – K – 4 (Tuesday, September 4^th to Friday, September 14^th)
• 3:10pm – 5 – 8 (Tuesday, Septmeber 4^th – Friday, September 7^th)
• Volleyball tryouts will be held this week for all teams.   Tryouts will be ran as follows:
• Wednesday, September 5^th – 3:30 – 5:00 (all boys)
• Thursday, September 6^th  -- 3:30 – 5:00 (all girls)

There will be a sign-up sheet posted outside of the office today.    Sign-ups will be taken down the day of the first tryout.

• Volleyball Officials Clinic is being held tomorrow night at SCCHS in the Lecture Theatre.    Clinic begins at 6:30 and admission is free.  Everyone is welcome!

• Library will be opening to students on Thursday, September 7^th. 
• Grade 6 beginner band clinic will take place on September 7^th (6:45-9:00pm) and September 8^th (9:00am – 2:30pm) at Ecole Centennial School.
• Sign-In sheets – All students are reminded that when you arrive late to school or if you are leaving early for any reason, please check in/out at the office.    If there is no one available in the office, there is a sign-in sheet at Mrs. Painchaud's desk where you will write your name, reason and the time you are leaving/returning.
