TODAY AT IRWIN:

  • Happy Birthday to Jo Carleton and Ashton Bolton-Gardner.  Please come down to the office for your birthday pencil.
  • Safety Patrollers – If you are able to do Safety Patrol today or tomorrow after school, please come down to the office following this morning's announcements to sign up for shifts.
  • Store will be open today during the morning break.
  • Grade 2 swimming lessons this afternoon.  Next week lessons will run from Monday, February 12th – Thursday, February 15th.
     
  • Pizza orders are due back today and need to be handed in to your homeroom teacher.
     
  • Wrestling practice today at lunch beginning at 11:50.
     
  • Grade 5 Skating this afternoon at Riverdene Rink.   Students will be walking to the rink, leaving the school at 12:30.   Please remember your warm clothes, mitts and helmet.   Helmets are MANDATORY.
     
  • Intermediate Boys White Basketball practice today after school from 3:30 – 4:30pm.
     
  • Intermediate Girls Red Basketball practice today after school from 3:30 – 4:30pm.
     
  • Senior Girls Basketball game today after school at Centennial.
     
  • Intermediate Girls White Basketball game today after school at Central.
     
  • Olympic Day tomorrow.   Wear Red, White and Gold to show our support for our Canadian Athletes.    Check out the Olympic Memorabilia in the trophy case by the store.
     
  • Hat Day tomorrow.   Bring $1 and wear your favorite hat for the day.   All funds raised will go towards the Grade 7 Ski Trip.
     
  • Intermediate Girls Red Basketball game tomorrow after school at Irwin.
     
  • Senior Boys Basketball tournament in Moose Jaw this weekend.  The team will be leaving for Moose Jaw tomorrow afternoon.
     
  • Any students interested in winning a pair of Bronco tickets for tomorrow night need to see Mr. Eltom.  Tickets for the draw cost $1 each.   The draw will take place tomorrow morning.   The money raised will go towards the Grade 7 Ski Trip.
     
  • Grade 9 registration forms are due on February 16. Please return them to your homeroom teacher.
     
  • Crosswalks are designed to keep pedestrians together where they can be seen by motorists and where they can cross the street most safely. Lately, there has been an increase in people crossing in the middle of the street. It is important that all students, staff, and parents use crosswalks when crossing the street for their own safety, and to set a safe example for others.
