TODAY AT IRWIN:

• Happy Birthday to Brandon Blatz.   Please come down to the office for your birthday pencil.

• Library Club today at lunch.
  
   
• Safety Patrollers please come down to the office after this morning's announcements to sign up for shifts for the week.
  
   
• Active Play Program begins today for those students that are registered.   The program will run Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3:15 – 5:15.  Grade 1 & 2 students will attend Mondays and Grades 3 – 6 will attend Wednesdays.  
  
   
• City League Playoffs – Boys today after school.
  
   
• Toast Tuesday tomorrow morning beginning at 8am.    Please remember to clean up and put all garbage away.
  
   
• Swift Current Broncos Lung All Stars Pledge envelopes went home last week.    Envelopes are due back on Thursday, November 9^th.    How the pledge works is students sell bronco tickets for $15/each.    For every ticket sold, the school will receive $5, the Swift Current Broncos will receive $5 and the Lung Association will receive $5.
  
   
• Kids in the Kitchen tomorrow after school.
  
   
• Curling starts tomorrow for Grades 6 – 8.  Please sign-up on the sheet outside the office.   All levels are welcome from beginner to advanced.
  
   
• A reminder to please submit photos for the Virtual Wall of Honour for the Remembrance Day Service by tomorrow.  Photos can be emailed to Mrs. Thompson.  Also, any students who have Remembrance Day stories, please submit them to your homeroom teacher by tomorrow.

• Poetry Contest
• $400 first prize, $350 second prize, $300 third prize. All Irwin submissions entered into a book draw.
• Grade 7 and 8 students who are interested in entering poetry into the Jesemy Stursberg National Poetry Contest please ask your ELA teacher or Mr. Biem for information.

• The Young Writers Poetry Contest – for all students in Kindergarten – Grade 8.   See your teacher or Mr. Biem for details.

• For any students who ordered books from author, Suzanne de Montigny, please come down to the office to pick up your copies.
  
   
• Please sign up for Senior Boys Basketball across from the office.   First tryout is on Thursday, November 23^rd.
