Due to the recent increase in COVID cases in the southwest and across the province, Chinook School Division is considering the possibility of once again offering distance learning through the Chinook Cyber School for Chinook students in grades 1-12 in the Fall of 2021. An email went out to all families today with information and a link to the interest form.
If you may be interested in this learning delivery option for your child(ren), please check for an email from Deb Chowdhury at our Help Desk (firstname.lastname@example.org) and complete the survey by August 19.
Distance Learning If this option will be offered in the Fall of 2021, online classes will be delivered through the Chinook Cyber School by Chinook teachers to students at their homes. Students should have access to technology and internet/wi-fi is required. Online learning requires parent involvement and support, especially in the lower grade levels.
A schedule will be provided, with virtual class times and meetings held during school hours. Students making this choice would not participate in local school activities. It is important to note that some high school classes offered within your child’s local school that were part of their original schedule may not be available within the online learning option.
