Globally, the aviation industry continues to grow every year
and the demand for professional pilots is increasing. Aerial application,
both agricultural and fire-fighting, also remain strong industries,
particularly in Saskatchewan. Canadian-trained pilots are sought after
around the world and many countries send prospective candidates here for
training. You may have heard that Leading Edge Aviation, a Yorkton-based
flight school, operated a satellite flight training facility at Swift Current
Airport during this past winter. Eleven people completed their training,
including two teen pilots.
Saskatchewan Polytech will be offering three information
sessions in the near future for the Commercial Pilot Diploma: one in
Saskatoon in early May, one in Yorkton in late May and one in Regina in early
June. For More Information go to:
