Hello, Class of 2020! We are already two months into our senior year which means grad planning is well under way! There will be more exciting events taking place throughout the year, all outlined in this newsletter. If you have questions, feel free to ask any of the grad committee members. All the best in the upcoming months!
$110 per grad
Grad fees cover the following activities/purchases organized by the Student Grad Committee:
- Commemorative grad gift given to each grad (purchase of gift organized by the Senior Stick & Pin)
- Cap and Gown/Photos (gown rental, purchase of caps and tassel, dry-cleaning fees for stole, grad photo sitting fee)
- Grad Games Night
- Winter Banquet
- Cap and Gown Ceremonies
Note: The above Student Grad Committee fee is separate from the Dry Grad fee. The Dry Grad and Grand March are organized by the Grad Parent Committee.
We will be collecting grad fees outside of the main office from 12:15-1:00 p.m. on the following dates:
- Wednesday, November 6th
- Thursday, November 7th
- Friday, November 8th
We will accept cash or cheque. Make cheques payable to SCCHS Grad 2020.
*** You MUST pay grad fees in order to participate in grad activities. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements, please contact Mr. Kielo or Mrs. Arntsen.
Grad Parent Committee Information
All graduates received a booklet of raffle tickets the first week of October. This is a fundraiser for the Dry Grad which is held at the iPlex after the 2020 Grand March. If a grad sells a full booklet, it will reduce their Dry Grad ticket ($75) by $50 (maximum amount regardless of the number of books sold). All sold and unsold tickets along with the money raised will be collected in front of the main office at noon on the following dates:
- Wednesday, Nov 6th
- Thursday, Nov. 7th
- Friday, Nov. 8th
The winners will be drawn at the Winter Banquet on Saturday, November 23rd.

5:30 p.m. -- Doors Close
6:00 p.m. -- Opening Words and Raffle draw
6:15 p.m. -- Dinner
Entertainment, Dessert, and Dance to follow!
- You are encouraged to dress semi-formal, but this does not mean you should feel obligated to purchase something new. Wear your best outfit and join us for a fun and memorable evening!
- There will be photographers on site.
- Confirm your attendance by putting your name on the Grad 2020 Winter Banquet sign-up sheet that will be posted in Student Services. Check announcements.
Grad photos will take place from December 9-13 in the Library Seminar Room. You will receive information in the mail from Life Touch with your appointment time. A schedule will also be posted in the main office. Appointment changes are to be made at the main office. Grad photo retakes will be held on February 27.
Note: For casual shots, you are encouraged to bring props (musical instruments, dance shoes, sports equipment, etc.)
